The approach to Reid Villa is across a footbridge over a small waterway, and it enjoys open-plan lawn areas to the rear, plus a large second garden area accessed via a shared footbridge adjoining Somerford Lagoon. 

Reid Villa is one of the Somerford Nines. These are nine properties situated in a further gated area of the Estate that is particularly tranquil. The nine properties have exclusive access to a shared outdoor heated pool (open all year round), a small gym, and a sauna which is for the sole use of the nine properties.

Lake access to Somerford Lagoon is across a shared bridge with the other 9 properties. Somerford Lagoon Lake is closed from October to March due to nesting birds.

A spacious, modern kitchen with all the necessary mod cons for easy living.

Spacious lounge with wood burner, two sofas, two armchairs, and wall-mounted flat-screen TV leading onto an enclosed deck area and a lawn enjoying views over Somerford Lagoon. The dining area also overlooking Somerford Lagoon seats eight.

The master bedroom overlooks Somerford Lagoon and benefits from an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom, also on the first floor, has its own private balcony and ensuite. The third bedroom is a very spacious double and the fourth bedroom is a single. There is also a family bathroom with a bath and attached shower.


House & Estate Rules:   

  • Quiet hours are observed after 11pm, we aim to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment for all residents and guests. 
  • Hen and stag parties, including any related activities, are not allowed on the estate premises
  • Work related stays for any purpose are not permitted on the estate
  • All our properties are non-smoking.
  • Upon departure, kindly ensure that the premises are left in a clean and orderly manner, with all furniture returned to its original position and rubbish removed. There are bin stores located around the estate.
  • A £500 refundable damage deposit is due the week before your arrival. You will be contacted regarding this.
  • Please utilise the one parking space provided at the property. Additional parking is available at the main car park if needed. Please do not park in the bays assigned to other properties.
  • This property is not pet friendly.

    Activity Hub: We booked the silent disco for our children, but it wasn’t very child-friendly. The music wasn’t something they knew, there was no organiser leading the activity, and it ended up with kids just running around. It could have been much better with someone engaging them and creating a fun atmosphere. Tennis: All slots were taken and the booking system was frustrating — having to walk round each court to check availability with small kids in tow, only to find no pens for the forms, made it more stressful than it should be. Restaurant: The food was nice, but the service was very slow and staff couldn’t answer simple questions, which let the experience down. Pool: The one-hour time limit didn’t feel very “holiday-like.” Even with private access, we still had to compete for limited slots, which was disappointing. BBQ Box: We ordered a BBQ box only to discover the property had a gas BBQ but no gas provided, so the food went to waste. Lake Access: We hired canoes, only to find out our property didn’t actually have the lake access advertised. Gym: This was really just a small room with minimal equipment, not a proper gym. Overall, while the site itself has potential, the way the activities and facilities are run felt poorly organised, and it didn’t offer the value or the relaxing holiday vibe we expected.
